Vienna:
Sunday, November 17
Slow, easy breakfast in the hotel restaurant: the ubiquitous cold
ham, cheese, and warm milk - an unhurried packing then on to the
subway for the ride to the airport - a change from underground to
suburban rail and we're at the airport in about 30 minutes
Flight is delayed for two hours - a last minute scurry to spend
all the money we have left - Mozartkugeln and liquer in the gift shop
- Wade spend the final $10 on two Austrian beers
Now the long flight home - several U.S. military folks returning
home from a Croatian assignment, one talkative fellow returning home
after conducting some business in Hungary and Croatia, a couple who
had a similarly strange experience to ours in the Budapest baths at
the Gellert - silly movies, average food, and complimentary cocktails
ease the 11-hour trip
Back in Atlanta and through customs in a flash - Faye and Oliver
drive us home where some presents are opened immediately and others
stored for Christmas
Glad to be home, wish we could go back tomorrow
